ALIEN: INSIGHT. My very own short film. This is the poster I made for my horror fan film. The film is based off the ALIEN franchise.
There were a few iterations of the poster. The first one, is a still from the set. The actress is looking at the test tube (off screen).
I didn't like how plain and lackluster it was. Eventually, I decided to make the actual test tube into a poster.
The test tube was an actual prop I created from scratch for the film. Made from an old pot, glass container, and water with some food coloring.
However, the fetus with the tail is not real. That is two 3d models I put together in Blender.
I through it all together in Photoshop. The second photo is the finished composite. I was happy with how it turned out, but I wanted to capture retro vibes.
So I added a white border to the poster. Finally I added some weathering and texture to it and it was complete!
